Covid 19 – The Bible speaks today – Treasure in jars of clay
2 Corinthians 4:5-15
Jars of clay were common household objects in Biblical times. We, like jars of clay, are made of dust. We are fragile, weak and easily damaged. We can appear strong, but in reality we struggle with the stresses of life.
God’s power is made perfect in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9 & 1 Corinthians 1:27-29). God chooses to store the treasure of His light, the light of Jesus, within our hearts. We can know the glory of God within us. God Almighty can live in frail, weak, sinful human beings!
What is in the clay pot of your life? Is it full of rubbish or is it full of the light of God? Are you shining for Jesus?
God’s treasure is rare. It comes direct from God. It is not fragile, weak or imperfect; it cannot be damaged and it is imperishable. It comes from God and not from ourselves – it is His power within us.
