Love the Lord your God with all your heart; Being committed to the ways of the Lord & End times

Love the Lord your God with all your heart

Eugene Offori-atta

Matthew 22:37-40

  1. When people see our life will they say this person loves the Lord with all their heart? If we love God then why are we still of this world? We need to be set apart from this world. Do people see Christ in us? Do we love the righteousness and holiness of God? Are we living a righteous and holy life?
  2. Do we know God? To love God we have to know Him. Is it God we love or our own created version of Him? We know God by knowing His Word and letting it drive our lives.

Being committed to the ways of the Lord

Bethany Kibutu

1 Kings 8:61

What is commitment? We are bombarded with things that demand our commitment. To be committed to the Lord we need to come from a place where we “need to” to where we “want to” be committed to Him. Do we thirst for God (Matthew 5:6)? Are we fully committed to the Lord?

End times

Michael Senereab

Romans 13:11-12; 1 Peter 4:7

What do we understand by “End times”? The end times are supposed to motivate, encourage and prepare us. The end times are our ‘blessed hope’ (Titus 2:11-13). When we see the labour pains we know the baby is due. Our awareness of the end times should shape our behaviour and our attitudes. Are we ready for the arrival of the bridegroom? Are we keeping our lamps burning? Can we say boldy ‘Maranatha’ – Come Lord Jesus? Revelation 1:3; 22:17,20.
