Stirring up and fanning the flames
Acts 19:1-20; Revelation 2:1-5
A blacksmiths fire consists of coals on a grate, but metal cannot be heated in it until it is stirred up and fanned. When the fan is turned off and the coals are left alone the fire dies out and becomes cold. God wants to give us a good stirring up and wants to fan into flame the fire within us. He wants to keep us moving in Him. There is always an end product of God poking and stirring us up.
Do not let the fire die down or go out. Remember your first love and first works. Jesus wants to continuously rekindle our fire. Are you willing to be poked, prodded and stirred up by Jesus?
