SCHOOL OF ROCK

The School of Rock meet downstairs during the Sunday morning adult service. Children need to register as they arrive at church with their parents. The gate opens at 10:15 for the children to come downstairs to our meeting rooms. The children all enjoy worship time together which is designed to help them learn about God through songs that they enjoy. Each week we learn a memory verse together and enjoy a quiz or a game before splitting into our age related learning. Leaders include qualified teachers and helpers with wide experience of caring for young children.

CRECHE ( 0-3 yrs )

A well equipped creche is provided each week for under 3’s. Parents are encouraged to take their children into this room if they want a quiet room to feed and interact with their children while also being able to see the service on our TV.

PEBBLES ( 3-5 yrs )

The youngest class of School of Rock. The children aged 3-5yrs are involved in fun-filled activities including simple Bible stories, songs, play and craft activities all tailored for their age group.

ROCK STARS (6 – 8 yrs )

Rock stars enjoy hearing and acting out great stories from the Bible. We have looked at the stories and miracles that Jesus taught through. We do drama, quizzes and learn how to pray as well as artwork to remind us what we have learnt. It’s good fun and we have a great time with all our friends.

ROCK CLIMBERS (9 – 11)

Rock Climbers have also been looking at Bible stories and they learn how to find things in the bible as well as the names of all of the books. We believe that everyone should have a firm foundation in the Word of God at their level. The children also get opportunities to create posters and artwork to show their understanding of what they have been learning.
