God will turn it around
Genesis 50:19-20; Luke 22:31-32; John 19:30
Can you declare “What the enemy meant for evil God will turn it around for my good”? Can you trust that God will turn your situation around?
- Joseph and his brothers – It took many years for God to bring about reconciliation between Joseph and his brothers. We can only see what is happening to us from our own perspective, but God has bigger things to do. We need to go beyond how we feel and praise the Lord in the midst of our situations and feelings. The enemy hates what the blood of Jesus has done for us, but we are redeemed and are children of God. Joseph was in the prison and Satan would love to sift us and spoil our testimony. The enemy came against Joseph to break him and sought to destroy Joseph’s faith. God stepped in whilst Joseph was in prison. We might not now what the future holds, but we know someone who holds the future in His hands.
- Jesus prayed for Peter – We see that darkness and depressive forces were coming upon Peter and the other disciples. Jesus never says that life will be free from trouble, but He has promised that He will never leave us. Isaiah 43:2 tells us that God will be with us throughout everything we are going through. Ephesians 6:11 tells us to put on the whole armour of God because Satan will resist us and seek to destroy everything we have. Even in the darkest night God can bring us through.
- The universe’s greatest turn around – Jesus cried “It is finished”. For what earthly reason did God send His Son to die on the cross? It was for each of us. The answer for broken humanity is Jesus and His death on the cross.
