A church for all nations sharing God's love and truth to all people through the life transforming message of Jesus

Taking Jesus into our lives as He is

Taking Jesus into our lives as He is

Mark 4:36

Just one verse, but it has a lot of both physical and spiritual meaning.

  1. And leaving the crowd – Sometimes we make decisions under pressure that we live to regret. When we make mistakes we need to step away from the crowd. We need to move away from the crowd to make important decisions. The crowd can stop you hearing clearly from God.
  2. And they took Him into the boat – The boat represents the situations in life. The boat might rock sometimes. The boat is where your journey of faith is tested, tried and matured.
  3. They took Him just as He was – We live in a fast world. The danger is that we try to manufacture a ‘fast Jesus’. We want answers to prayers immediately. We need to take Him just as He is. We need to stop trying to put Jesus in a box or make Him into what we want him to be. We need to allow Jesus to be Lord of our lives and allow Him to take full control of everything in our lives and not a scarecrow to ward off the devil.
  4. And other boats were with them – Our spiritual journey is communal. Before we do anything we need to think about the people around us. There are people around us who can help us, but there are others seeking to disrupt our lives.
