Victorious Christian living

Hebrews 12:1-3

As Christians we are expected to be victorious. Tests if faith will come, but we have to stand firm in our victory in Christ.

1. What is a victorious Christian living? – Spiritual victory is rooted in faith, God’s grace and Christ finished work on the cross. This victory is the peace that comes from knowing that our identity is secure in Christ.
2. How can we lead a victorious Christian living? – The crowd of witnesses were those heroes of old who lived by faith. These great men obeyed God and trusted in Him. The principal of living a victorious Christian life is faith and trusting in what God has said. The greatest hero of faith is Jesus Christ. We need to throw off anything that draws us away from Jesus. The victory is that people will be able to see Jesus in us. Jesus is the perfecter of our faith when we fix our eyes upon Him and continue to trust Him. The victory comes in fixing our eyes on His finished work on the cross. Jesus fixed His eyes on the cross with joy, knowing what it would achieve (Romans 8:18; 2 Corinthians 4:18).
3. What are the benefits of living a victorious Christian life? – In victorious Christian living we have peace in all that we are going through.
