Trust in God

Trust in God

Psalm 20-21; Jeremiah 17:5-8

How is it possible to trust in God with all that is happening in the world?

Some trust in horses, some in chariots (Psalm 20:7). Many say that Psalm 20 is the prayer and Psalm 21 is the answer to the prayer.

It is OK to ask for prayer – we need to pray. We need to declare our trust in God.

Do you find it easy to trust people? Have you been let down by people you have trusted? Has this affected how you trust God? Do we equate our trust issues with people with how, we trust in God? Remember that God is not a man (Numbers 23:19).

Jeremiah 17:5-6 says we are cursed when we put our trust in men. But Jeremiah 17:7-8 says we are blessed when we trust in God.

In the USA “In God we trust” is printed on their banknotes. What is printed on your heart?

When we cry out “I don’t understand”, we are in the right place. Turn your lack of understanding into trust in God (Proverbs 3:5).
