The Gospel of Luke: Jesus is for everyone – but don’t forget who He is
Luke 9:28-45
Important stories like the Transfiguration can easily be missed and forgotten. The Transfiguration is incredibly important. It affirms who Jesus really is.
Jesus is our friend. He loves us. We can be intimate with Him. But He is not our “mate”. He cannot be manipulated by our attempts to peer pressure Him into doing what we want. He does not condone our sinful behaviour. We should never be casual about Jesus. We need more and more revelation of who Jesus is. Luke 9 speaks of:
- Who is Jesus?
- Jesus revealed – the significance of the Transfiguration.
- Jesus power displayed – in the story of the boy delivered and healed.
