- The Gospel of Luke: Jesus is for everyone – Be faithful in everything
Luke 16:10-31 NLT
God is faithful is a statement of truth. Jesus asks will we be faithful to God.
- Be faithful in little things – It is the little things that set thecourse of our lives. Little things determine our morals. As Christians we should be different. We should stand out as trustworthy, honest and reliable. Being a disciple should transform our relationship with the little things.
- Be faithful with money – The parables in Luke 16 are focused on money and possessions and their influence on our lives. Money and wealth have an addictive power over our lives. Jesus knew money has power which is why He said we cannot serve two masters. He knew that the power of money is deadly. How much do you love money? When we give generously it crucifies the love of money. Does your love of money stop you giving to the needy?
- Be faithful to God in everything – Everything we have is a gift to us from God. God entrusted us with everything we have. Why do we trust possessions above God? God expects us to use everything we have for His glory and to further His kingdom.
