The Gospel of Luke: Jesus is for everyone – The prodigal son
Luke 15:1-2; 11- 32
- The Father is ready to forgive – everyone has sinned and fallen short. We deserve God’s judgement and hell, but God is ready to forgive. God invites you to return to Him today.
- God accepts us just as we are – If you will come back to God He will accept you as you are. We can never climb up to God, He reaches down to us.
- God rejects self righteousness – Jesus is the friend of sinners.
- God loves to celebrate – when the son returned the Father threw a party. God rejoices when we come back to Him.
